![]() ![]() A single clime feature determines the overall climate of a sector. The features of a sector affect how it can be exploited: ![]() Sectors are very important for the economy of any colony, as they can be annexed and subsequently exploited to generate resources. Sectors are themed around geography, or a particular landmark of the fallen Star Union. Then again, perhaps all of the factions have equally devastating high tier operations. The planet is divided into sectors, each containing one or more identifying features. Especially gold-tier Landmarks, and Dwellings(although Dwellings could easily count as 'colonies,' mechanically speaking). Removing a hazard almost certainly costs less than it takes to create the hazard.Īlternately, the mountains overlay is, in fact, permanent, but only replaces all non structure hexes in a sector, meaning the sector functions relatively as normal(different income yields relative to changes in terrain aside), but becomes a logistical issue to navigate through or around.Įither way, I rather doubt they implemented a way to permanently 'destroy' any sector that isn't a colony sector. The overlay may very well disappear if the hazard is removed, returning the sector to normal. Instead, as per the wording indicates to my interpretation, it creates a hazard, when then applies a mountains terrain overlay temporarily to the sector. As I mentioned in the other thread, I strongly doubt the operation destroys anything(aside from a random colony development if cast directly on a colony sector.
